Bayswater Point State Park is a hidden gem in Queens. It's a small park, but it has a lot to offer. You can fish from the shore, and catch some flounder, bluefish, or striped bass. You can also have a picnic on the grass or on one of many picnic tables, and enjoy the views of Jamaica Bay. The park is very quiet and peaceful, except for the sound of planes taking off or landing at JFK Airport. Read moreIt's an amazing park! A good spot for fishing, walks, and in general, a good spot to hangout and have fun! The hours on google are not 100% accurate. They actually close at sunset and the last entry is 15 minutes before the closing time. There are signs during the summer around the park that will tell you these times along with some other park rules. Just make sure to leave when they tell you because they do lock the park at sunset.
