Great park! Nice and large playground for kids. Basketball courts. Tennis courts and an outdoor hockey court. The hockey court is by permit only. Tennis courts are a little old and they are right on the water which, very often, makes them very windy and extremely difficult to play on. Also, on July fourth and possibly Sunday's non Long Island residents are required to pay ten dollars to park in the park's lot. The park house is closed. Only portable toilets are available and that's kind of didgusting.
There is damage to the launching dock and the broken fence is an invitation f ok r a little kid to wander off where he or she shouldn't go and get trapped or even drown.
Thus would never happen at Grant, North Woodmere or Wantaugh Park.
