Update 12/21/2024: My son opened a locker door and and it fell out. It could have hit him on the head! I reported it to the staff and they just took down the locker number. I told them that I reported other broken lockers and equipment and they said ...We will report it. This SUCKS AND IS UNSAFE!

Update 9/21/2024: The lifeguard program has been resolved. They let go of the lazy persons and replaced them with more responsible personnel. Now the sauna and the steam room are both broken 💔 😞 in the men's locker room and my wife reports that the girls sauna is still out of order 😭. What the Hell? Fix it or give us a discount for the time of repairs!

Update 6/3/2024: Now both the men's and women's saunas are broken and men's steam room is out of commission as well. The dirt in the locker room is disgusting. What the heck?

I don't normally do bad reviews. However, I am fed up with JCC taking my money and giving less and less service every time. Let's break it down:

1. Locker rooms for both men and women are disgusting and apparently the janitorial staff don't wipe down the lockers, the branches or the showers.
2. My wife and daughter use the women's locker room and they don't even have a working sauna. It has been broken since August of 2023. What the hell? When I asked politely when it will be fixed, the staff member became agitated.
3. Pool area: How many lifeguards do you need on duty in a small pool? There are usually 4+ lifeguards on the deck and they are looking at their phones and chatting with each other and not minding the pool. They are useless in an emergency! Fire them and get 2 well trained lifeguards!
4. Pool water cleaning: I reported many times to the lifeguards and their manager that there is dirt, hair, bandaids, etc., floating or on the bottom of the pool. They paid me lip service at best. Ignored me at worst.
5. Posted notes in the pool: The staff constantly places noteses in the pool area to not wear street shoes 👟 on the pool deck. Lots of people ignore them and walk in in street shoes. Morons!
6. Basketball courts: my kids like to come to play with the few available basketballs. The rest are always locked away and no one from the staff has the key to open the ball cage! What the hell?
7. Overall staff: the front desk of the JCC are nice enough...but that's it. The rest of the staff are not helpful when approached and at time not polite.

Don't get me wrong. I grew up going to this and other JCCs, but this is getting...

This is a lovely camp if your paying an extremely high price for your child to attend. It is clean with updated facilities inside the building. However, my family had the ultimate worst experiences with this particular facility...my Special Need son, (who is non-verbal and is covered under State Funds) was enrolled in the Summer Camp on 2 occasions. They were severely neglectful towards him. They lost all his swimming clothing, 6 days, consecutively, left him dirty, after he accidentally fell in the lake and he got quite sick...the following Summers, we were begged to have him return. They kept all Special Needs kids outside, underneath a tent, regardless of the weather, which was over 102 degres and while other days there were severely thunderstorms...When we, continiously and unsuccessfully tried to discuss this matter with the Camp Director, we were told, rudely and in explicitly langague, we should keep our Child home....

My five year old daughter was not given lunch at the JCC day camp all of last week. She was not offered a brown bagged lunch nor was she offered the hot lunch I purchased. On Friday she was sent home after hurting her eye without having been sent to the nurse. The director was defensive and dismissive. This is entirely...
