Great place to see a view of lower Manhattan and the rest of governors island!

It’s an easy walk up to the top, only about 70 meters above sea level, but the views make it seem much higher up.

The walk up to the top is accessible by either a flat, paved ramp or by climbing up some stones that are about knee-high.

Great place to go hang out on Friday night when the let you into the island. There’s an excellent view of the Statue of Liberty and the land on Governors Island is beautiful all by itself. There are tents (tho I’m not 100% sure how to rent them) and during the summer they show movies back by where the ferries docks. Enjoyable area- I...

I love New York, and have seen some pretty spectacular views of it from different vantage points. While this is a whole lot lower in altitude than those 17th century Dutch or English renderings, standing on the Hills makes me feel like I'm seeing New York for...
