In a word…..Wow!! This winery setting was simply spectacular. The views were so special, and the quality of the tasting was an easy match with the warm ambiance. We had the pleasure to briefly speak with Ayla who shared her and Jackson’s wonderful story. For younger winemakers, their products are truly impressive, and their tasting experience is one of a kind. I’d stack the products from their family run winery up against any of the larger operations in the area. One of our favorite visits in Willamette Valley (out of 9 wineries we visited) — and this is also coming from someone who’s lived near Napa and traveled to wineries all over the world. It was a recommendation from our driver actually — otherwise, I’m not sure we’d have found this little gem. A nearby winery had given me a recommendation to try Granville and I decided to take their advice. They did not steer me wrong.

All the wines I tried were excellent. The pinot noirs were all wonderful and I particularly enjoyed the Chardonnays.

The view from the property was spectacular too and despite a hazy sky you could still see Mt Jefferson and Mt Hood.
