Made reservations a couple weeks in advance of our visit. Provided credit card to prepay for mom and sister and me. Got to tasting and Ron was our server. The wines we were offered were terrible. One of the worst tastings ever. All three of us choked down first two my sister dumped one and we were never offered dump bucket as if that’s insult. The third tasting I left in the glass and we waited so long in between. The clue is if someone is leaving essentially the full tasting in a glass they don’t want it. Ron was too busy with other people who obviously were big spenders. We were one of three groups and there were other people serving others too. No idea why we spent almost two hours there. My sister purchased a bottle out of pity. It was the best of the horrible. When she went to purchase Ron asked how the tastings needed to be charged and my sister said oh well my sister already paid and he said oh no we don’t charge the credit card. I thought that was unusual because everywhere else charged the cards when we booked ahead. Then on top of that the tastings were 5 dollars more a piece. There was no way we were each buying 3 bottle a piece to save on tasting fee. I even have the email stating 30 each not 35. The worst experience of our entire weekend. Oh and they had awful yellow jacket problem with...
Read moreWe were staying nearby and decided to stop by. We did not have a reservation but the website said "advanced reservations encouraged", not required. We showed up about 1.25 hours before closing on a Wednesday. There was a tasting happening outside so we waited inside for about 15 minutes. No one acknowledged us in any way. There were at least 2 staff members on site and other than the 2 guests doing their tasting, there were no other patrons. I don't know if it's a Willamette Valley trait or a product of COVID but the idea that we are unwelcome intruders if we haven't made an advanced reservation just did not sit well with us. We would have been happy to simply purchase a glass or bottle of wine and learn a little about the property if they were unable to do a full tasting but to be utterly ignored...
Read moreRain Dance Vineyards delivered one of the most memorable tastings we’ve ever had. Katie was so welcoming and knowledgeable—it felt like visiting family by the end. Matt, the GM, even came out to share stories about their locally sourced charcuterie board, which was delicious. My husband, who never eats olives, was shocked to find himself enjoying three of them thanks to their thoughtful pairings!
The wines were fantastic, the atmosphere warm and genuine, and the handmade Christmas bell ornament we purchased was such a special keepsake. The only thing that could have topped it off would have been smooches from the adorable llamas. Tremendous job, Rain Dance team—thank you for going above and beyond. We look forward to enjoying every bottle we...
