Plum Island Lighthouse — Attraction in Newburyport

We went here on a cold, rainy day. And honestly, it was the most fun we had on this trip. I don't know what it is about this unassuming place that lifted our spirits or if it was something else entirely. Borderline hazardous. Not clean whatsoever. I have found razors, an assortment of trash, even burnt metal, rubber and plastic from what appeared to be from a bike. There is little in terms of signage to guide you in the right direction to the beach. This is the same for parking as well, no signs just an open portion of the lot you can drive through.
