Squamscott Vineyard & Winery — Attraction in Newfields

We had the best time here! We were in town from San Diego, CA. We found the winery online before we visited and it was even better than we expected. It was a small and intimate setting, but there was plenty of space for different groups to have their own space. Bill was so personable, friendly and professional. We did the full tasting and everything was very good. Usually red wines cause me a lot of heartburn, but I did not experience this here. Possibly because they are low in sulfites. The tasting area is outside (covered) and it's a small operation, but they grow all their own grapes for their wines which is hard to find in the New England area, and you can tell they make sure to get the best out of everything. What a quaint lovely place to visit on a perfect fall day in New England. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit while tasting and learning about Blue Heron Wines made here. Bob answered all of our questions and explained the natural way of making wine at the winery. No sugar is added and all vegan, no animal or fish by products are added to their wines.
