Saw the mountain, but no grandfather. Quite "expensive" but a must see experience that every one needs to have in his belt before check out. To get to the top with all serpentine curves you need to be a pretty good driver. The bridge is the cherry on top. You need though to be able to count to 40 ...because thats the max cap. of people thats allowed on the bridge at the same time. Dont miss the Forest Gump curve. A spectacular view on the top overlooking the mountains, rivers, lakes and tourists. And yes, it is commercialist, but no McDonalds ...yet. Oh, I almost forgot. However, if it’s a foggy day or the animals aren’t out - that’s a big price for a ticket in per person (rather than pay by car). The fudge is also a favorite but we didn’t buy any this last time (it was $12 for half a pound, too). If you live in the area or are a student, I highly recommend visiting in April during dollar days....
