The view from Pelican Point is better than Vista Point and is much closer to the beach with beach access. I'd visit Pelican Point again as it is a peaceful location if you have it all to yourself, but don't be fooled, there are no pelicans here, at least when I visited. Maybe at some point this place was a popular pelican hangout, or perhaps for the bird watchers, binoculars may be required to...

Splits Northern from Southern Crystal Cove beaches. Shifting sands, sometimes pelican point is crossable with bare feet and sometimes not due to sharp rocks. Can usually be crossed if wearing shoes. Walk or run this beach listening to soothing music, guaranteed spiritual experience. ...
