Excellent state park with easy beach access, ample parking and public restrooms. This is a great place to bring the family for some fun in the sand. There is beautiful black sand here at some spots on beach, and other colors of sand mixed in here as well. It can be wonderful to go down to the title area and watch the water pool as the tide moves in and out, or watch the water from the creek and the cliffs above meander its way towards the ocean. I wouldn't recommend here or anywhere on the Oregon Coast. The waves are rough, sneaker waves happen and it's very easy to get knocked off your feet and washed offshore. That holds true for most places on the Oregon Coast however. That said, this is a large beach with plenty of room and it's a great spot to play in the sand and get close to the ocean and...

Beverly beach is great. It was clean, free of a lot of the debris that many Oregon beaches tend to accumulate, and low traffic. The sand is very fine course, almost like 800 grit sandpaper, which means it feels really great in between your toes. 😁 There's a natural water source that flows into the ocean so between that water and the ocean, our kids had plenty to keep them occupied for hours. We unfortunately visited on a fairly windy day and so were unable to lay out and enjoy the great sand. We did however fly a kite which many other people were also doing. There is a public restroom at the entrance of the beach which has been kept very clean as well as a wash station to clean your feet, etc with...

A great, clean beach. Access is a little tricky - you have to climb ~5 feet down an eroded rocky trail to get to the beach. I recommend going at low/outgoing tide - high tide leaves a very narrow beach. There are creeks cutting through the beach, so I'd recommend bringing rubber boots or plan to go barefoot at some points. No tide pools at low tide, but it's a great place for finding agates, fossils and shells. If you're feeling ambitious, you can hike north to Devils Punchbowl. South, you can view Yaquina Head Lighthouse, and there are also some fascinating rock formations and sandstone cliffs where fossils...

I've stayed here multiple times and have always enjoyed my stays. Right now OR State Parks are charging up to 30% more for out of state campers so it may be awhile before I come back. But that's not a reflection of the park itself. You're close to the ocean, Newport, Lincoln City, Depoe Bay and lots of ocean and whale watching vantage points. Bring your strong binocs! Wonderful tree roots all over the park. They're the root system left over from when new trees starting growing on stumps from logging. Eventually the stumps rotted away, but the roots are still there.

I just have to share these pictures. I’ve never seen sand like this in my life, so beautiful! Sparkling black, green, red, and golden sand all together. I wish I knew more about geology because this area is very interesting. Great picnic areas and easy beach access. Wouldn’t recommend swimming at this beach, but that pretty much goes for most Oregon beaches. But what a beautiful little area!

You know just another mazing Oregon coast state park! Huge beach area with the usual features like amazing views with the lighthouse in the backdrop but this place has something extra for those rockhounds & such. If you have a good eye you can find some really cool stuff up near the hillsides like fossil beds & I found some obsidian stone. Of course you should go!
