Excellent state park with easy beach access, ample parking and public restrooms. This is a great place to bring the family for some fun in the sand. There is beautiful black sand here at some spots on beach, and other colors of sand mixed in here as well. It can be wonderful to go down to the title area and watch the water pool as the tide moves in and out, or watch the water from the creek and the cliffs above meander its way towards the ocean. I wouldn't recommend here or anywhere on the Oregon Coast. The waves are rough, sneaker waves happen and it's very easy to get knocked off your feet and washed offshore. That holds true for most places on the Oregon Coast however. That said, this is a large beach with plenty of room and it's a great spot to play in the sand and get close to the ocean and...
Read moreBeverly beach is great. It was clean, free of a lot of the debris that many Oregon beaches tend to accumulate, and low traffic. The sand is very fine course, almost like 800 grit sandpaper, which means it feels really great in between your toes. 😁 There's a natural water source that flows into the ocean so between that water and the ocean, our kids had plenty to keep them occupied for hours. We unfortunately visited on a fairly windy day and so were unable to lay out and enjoy the great sand. We did however fly a kite which many other people were also doing. There is a public restroom at the entrance of the beach which has been kept very clean as well as a wash station to clean your feet, etc with...
Read moreA great, clean beach. Access is a little tricky - you have to climb ~5 feet down an eroded rocky trail to get to the beach. I recommend going at low/outgoing tide - high tide leaves a very narrow beach. There are creeks cutting through the beach, so I'd recommend bringing rubber boots or plan to go barefoot at some points. No tide pools at low tide, but it's a great place for finding agates, fossils and shells. If you're feeling ambitious, you can hike north to Devils Punchbowl. South, you can view Yaquina Head Lighthouse, and there are also some fascinating rock formations and sandstone cliffs where fossils...
