Beautiful scenic spot on the rise at Brenton Point. This monument is dedicated to the memory of the Portuguese navigators, mapmakers, explorers, fleet commanders, and those Portuguese who assisted in the discovery of the maritime routes of two-thirds of the world and initiating the process of globalization. If you have interest in this, it is worth a stop, right in the middle of the park, there's parking nearby, kites in the air, and on a warm day maybe even a Del's truck. (Del's is a delicious Italian 🍋 lemon slushy, refreshing non-alcoholic drink, for anyone that may be from out of state.) Great area to relax on a sunny day....
