this is a very old tract of land. in the 1930s it had a skating pond and a log cabin built by the Boy Scouts of America, troop 1. The fieldstone foundation and chimney are all that remain of the cabin. The pond has become a swamp with a tiny stream, due to eutrophication and lack of dredging. Nonetheless, there are ample trails and hills to walk about and find peace and quiet. it's quite dog friendly, and commonly off leash (whether legal or not), where most everyone I meet is polite and well behaved.
