Nice piece of history. You can still see where Union forces removed bricks for a shoulder high firing port to be able to better defend the depot (see pics). Inside appears to be a meeting hall and has been "modified". Would have been nice if they had kept the original interior but at least they have saved this bit of history.

We stopped by to look at the old train Depot but was only able to take a few photos outside as it was closed at the time of our visit. There was the ubiquitous caboose out front as well as a few informative signs. The area on a Sunday morning was pretty empty but to be expected.

We were in the area for a wedding. The grooms family had rented this place for the weekend for smaller wedding related events. It was unique and clean. Nice kitchen facilities & restrooms. Easy parking access. Southern charm...
