Ollin Farms — Attraction in Niwot

Great prices are only the beginning. I have visited organic farms in 4 countries since retiring. The nutrient dense food at Ollin Farms is better than organic from my standpoint. Why, because Organic in USA does NOT require it to have the nutrient rich soil and allows 3 types of pesticide. They use no pesticides because the soil health is so good. I am very impressed. I went to Ollin farms for a community workshop. Got a tour of part of their farm and the owner was so willing to talk about their practices. (soil rejuvenation, organic healthy vegetables and happy animals) It is a family operation and they offer kids camp and have a great farm stand. Mark and Kena have created a really magical place for the locals and people from out of town to visit. The farmstead is the best around. Their stand at the local farmers market is my favorite to visit. They have a terrific CSA as well. I've heard wonderful things about their summer programs for the children as well.
