I made a phone call to inquireing about reserving lanes, the group discount that is advertised on the website, and about possible tournaments that may have been going on at the same time I was having my group of eleven meet me at the bowling alley at 7 pm the same evening. I made this phone calling to try and prepare for a semi large group and to compare pricing. When i Made the inquiry about the group discounts the employee on the phone told me that normally you would speak with a manager to reserve lanes and to get the group discount and to do this he said I would usually leave my phone number and a manager would get back ahold of me, but because it was only 3 hours until I was wanting to bring in my group and due to a manager not being able to get back in touch with me within that time frame, the employee stated that he would just let the employees, that where to be there at 7, know that I was to receive free shoe rental in lieu of the group discount, Listen we even took down my 1st and last name and asked me how to spell it. Upon my checking out I spoke with the employees that where currently on the clock about my conversation that I had had earlier in the day with the other employee. At which point I was told that they didn't have any idea who I had spoke with, but they didnt Have a group discount, nor have the ever waived a shoe rental fee. So I asked so you're really not gonna honor anything the the employee had told me earlier in the day or the advertisement on your website. they told me that that employee did not know what he was talking about and they have never offered a group discount. When I pulled up his website and showed them the add for group discounts His response to me was oh that's referring to our family package But the family package was 3 advertisements up from the group advertisement the ads were geared completely different. I told him that I did not much appreciate their false advertisement or That they did not train their employees correctly of their policies ,prices ,discounts so they can relay the information correctly to the customer and then do nothing to make rectify the situation. I was extremely disappointed in their customer service and then their customer retention and the sad part is I have been going to the same bowling alley since I was 16 years old. For the past 20 years I have used this same bowling alley And now I cannot see continuing to do business with this bowling alley because of its poor customer service and lack of customer retention. The only reason I'm giving this bowling alley one star is because I have to give it 1 star to post my review otherwise it...
Read moreWe haven't been bowling in years and we ended up going to 3 bowling alleys in one weekend. The first night we planned on going bowling. We decided on Enterprise Lanes. We walked in at 8pm and we were told we couldn't bowl for an hour because they were going to have to switch the lanes over for black light bowling. So we headed off to Light House Lanes. I am not sure what it is but is seems that they don't wax the floors there or something. It just isn't slick like every other bowling alley I have been too. Then add the fact that our ball got stuck almost every throw, It was not a great experience. I could actually get over that if the price was cheaper, but light house costs just as much as every other place in the area. The next night we end up going to Century lanes. Yes they smoke. It is not crazy smoky in there but you will need to wash your clothes and jackets the next day. Century lanes was cheaper in price. The floor was nice and slick, our bowls never got stuck and it was an all round good time. We will go back...
Read moreNOT A KID FRIENDLY PLACE!!!! Went in there and 2 of our kids were denied bumpers and their kid 6lb ball because they stood 3 inches over their regulation wooden rabbit. Our kids are tall for there age cause their dad stands 6ft 5in. Our kids were yeld at by an older bald guy that worked there because another employee gave our kids the 6 lb ball after he saw our kids continuously getting gutters. My husband went to talk to the guy about his behavior to our kids and he was beyond rude and unnecessarily mean about it. Other customers told to me that his behavior is always like that and ruins many nights for family's. In the parking lot another customer suggested us to take our family to Enterprise or Sunshine lanes......because they make sure all their customers are takin care of. We will never return to Century Lanes and I suggest you don't either. The only thing this place has going for it are well waxed lanes and $3 per person per...
