This place was hard to find, but it was worth the hunt! Turn onto W. Tracker Rd. and into the Elite Storage Centers parking lot to get here.

The cornbread is soft and moist, the roast beef has the perfect texture and flavor, the slaw had the right balance of sweet and tart, and the fries were done just right.

My man chose the chicken fried steak meal with mashed potatoes and brown beans. He ordered white gravy with his chickenfried steak and it had sausage in it, which he wasn't a fan of (he loves each, but not the combination), and his mashed potatoes were a bit dry, but overall he enjoyed it better than Lambert's, which is high praise from him.

I had the blackberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream for dessert. Mmmmm. Great flavor and perfect texture. The waitress was perfect - super friendly, attentive, and knows her job really well. I'm almost speechless . . . . But I think I've found my words . . . . FIRST & FOR MOST --- WOW!!! I don't think anyone would ever expect to have such delicious food from what I assumed was a part of the storage units it is next to. I was out towards nixa when I asked for a recommendation of a good place to eat. I was asked if I liked good home cooked meals? I replied, "Of course! Who doesn't?" NLA Cafe. I could tell I had went to the right place when there was nowhere to sit once I got inside. I was glad my antisocial side had already kicked in. I had already placed order for pickup. My husband and I decided to try this place because of the reviews and the fact that it's hard to find. These gems are known as "hole in the wall" restaurants. This is indeed one of those when it comes to the breakfast at least. Not a huge menu, but they don't need it. The biscuits and gravy are FANTASTIC! The gravy is so good without sausage in it and the biscuits are PERFECT for those who love southern style but not dense biscuits. Their sausage patties are awesome and my husband tried a pancake. Again, it was a thick pancake but not dense. It was light and fluffy. Very good stuff. My only complaint would be to make sure and tell your waitress to cook your eggs longer than you normally would. Not sure if it was an accident or not but I asked for my egg over medium and it came out to me with LOTS of the white running.
