The park is nice. The female Nixa Park lady is, however, very rude.
My friend and I (with our 8 kids, to include our 3 toddlers) were enjoying the park. We had some bananas and strawberries. Our toddlers were dropping some of the strawberry tops. We immediately picked up the banana pees and put in a bag we brought. The lady came with a coworker and said she received a call about our mess. My friend replied "We plan on picking them all up at the end". It's toddlers, we are talking about maybe a 10 ft radius, half of which is in the grass". The lady's response was "Make sure they're not throwing them" in a VERY rude tone while not even looking at me. I'm thinking she maybe was referencing me tossing the green tops into the grass. GREEN STRAWBERRY TOPS. Ridiculous and absolutely no need to have an attitude about it at all. I'd you don't like your job, work somewhere else. This is a public park where the public should feel welcome. We were in no way trashing the place. We were keeping it tidy minus a few strawberry green tops...
Read moreI pass by this park frequently - first time here today & the park is by far, top 10 list of visiting! Clean. Restrooms & picnics areas directly to the side of the play area. The grounds are maintained very well. The park itself is awesome. Little kid area. Big kid area. Climbing area. Built in marry-go-round. Soft padding thru out the park.. lots of different types of slides. The swing set area is amazing. Swing by yourself or swing tandem. The park has lots of running areas, freebie golf course & the rec center with pools!
Only thing to make this park elite, would be too add more shade over, the playground & pool area! Would definitely recommend checking this play structure...
Read moreI think this park was recently redone with playground equipment. We were only able to stay a short time, but the children thoroughly enjoyed it, and the complex has other activities indoors. Excellent outdoor playground in west Nixa. Some seating in the shade and a lot in sunny areas. A good deal of seating around where parents can watch to make sure children are safe.
