We really enjoyed the food at Big Al's! The crab and shrimp were really good, and the seasoned garlic butter drizzled on everything was really good too. It was kind of odd to get a boiled egg with the meal, but even that was good with the butter. The sausage and sides were enough to fill you up, even though there could be more crab on the plate for what you pay. Our only complaint was with how cold it was in the dining area, but when asked to turn the heat up, the friendly staff quickly did so. I would suggest wearing a coat you don't mind getting some butter on if you're eating there on a cold winter day, since you probably won't want to take it off to eat. All in all, it was a very enjoyable experience and I would recommend...

Wow! First visit, ALL staff were friendly and checked on me when I went to the bathroom to wash my hands. I had towels to dry them but anytime I wash my hands I always walk out like a weirdo and they checked to see if I needed towels.

Bought a cheesecake at the end of the meal and tossed the change in the tip bucket.

Feel like these guys do a good job being friendly and concerned about the guests.

We got the Big A platter and added a crab cluster. Plenty for two people and with drinks was like $42.

Food was amazing, staff were on point, so happy to have this place to go to when we have a seafood craving!

Good job...

I can't believe that we have an authentic crab shack in Ozark, MO, smack in the middle of the country! The food was amazing! It's spendy, but that's because good seafood is not cheap! The crab legs and shrimp were cooked perfectly and the side of corn, sausage and potatoes were just unbelievable! I could eat my weight in just the shrimp and potatoes. I hope they will have crawfish and/or blue crabs in the future when they are in season. We will definitely be back soon. The only drawback, which isn't important enough to lose a star, is that there are no fountain drinks; they just have bottles of soda...

We love seafood so when my wife and I found this place we had to give it a try. They have several different platter options that are different combinations of crab and shrimp. You order at a counter and seat yourself. I was really surprised at how good everything was although my wife's portion of crab was noticeably smaller than mine. The one complaint I would have is that it had to have been 80-90 degrees in the small dining room. Would have been much more pleasant if the temp was more comfortable.

I truly have to say this place is absolutely amazing. The crab is to die for, how the owner Al (Alan) brings you your food, checks on you, actually cares about your experience, on top he put bibs around us which was pretty funny. Honestly the best food and experience I've had in a very long time. If you haven't tried this place please do. They are only open Wednesday-Saturday 4:30-8:00. But truly worth the wait.
