This is a great park! The dog park sits on the side of a hill. The top part of the park,always has a nice breeze. There is shade,but not much. If you time your visits early in the am,and early evening, the summer heat won't be too uncomfortable. They have picnic benches ,and benches ,some in a shaded area.They have waste cans for dog waste and trash.The majority of the dog owners that use this park,are friendly,and keep a close eye on their dogs. Once in a while you'll get a dog that doesn't mix well with other dogs,and you'll end up having a dog get bitten and hurt. Great place to take pups of all ages and sizes. It’s a fenced in open area with 2 lg picnic tables, 1 small, and 1 bench. Bags available most days in case you forget yours. Up until recently they had multiple barrels for waste but have been removed as of 3 weeks ago. Not sure why. There have been a few complaints mostly involving the same group of dogs. The only issues are mostly with the owners. I would t recommend bringing your children as this is a place for dogs to play not your 5 yr old. I can say I almost had it out with a gentleman that tried to swat my dog away when he came up to say hi.
