I only went on the beginner trail, but it was a wonderful and beautiful trail. I love the scenery and that the trail is a more natural trail and not a gravel or concrete trail. Didn't find any ticks on me, my girlfriend, or our dog. I know people were complaining about ticks, but ticks are everywhere. It's nature, not the city. And for the complaints I found about the trails being too dusty and dirty well that is nature. If it's dry out, then it will be dusty, if it's wet, it will be muddy. If someone is looking for concrete or gravel to walk on, go to the city and stay away from nature. Beautiful location, and I highly recommend these trails. If you are looking for a wonderful and natural hiking or bike area. Then come here. There are many miles worth of amazing trails to enjoy. I'm definitely coming back to experience the other trails.

Good trails that are easy to find off the road. Lost of sand, so I’m glad I brought my 650b+. Also a lot of stumps and fallen trees on the trails. Bring OFF/BUG SPRAY. There are a TON of ticks and chiggers, learned the hard way and had to head back early. (Rode in June/July) Also, even though it’s a state park, there is no signs posted about paying a day fee.

Just finished part of the green, red, yellow, and blue and took the easy straight way back due to a flat tire. Wouldn’t recommended the blue if it’s rained within a day or two because there were a couple muddy sections and it rained two days ago. Also got a few ticks so it would be a good idea to check yourself after a ride.

Ticks all year round. If you like ticks this is the perfect place for you and your family to have your whole body and clothes infested with ticks. You the wife and the kids will have ticks coming home with no matter much you shake your clothes or your skin. Ticks will be a part of your life weeks after your family hiking trip not to mention the family dog will have the roughest battle with 1000s micro ticks be able to inbed themselves completely covered and comfortable in your dogs fur.

Great trail system but does not look like it is kept or maintained during the summer months. Make sure to wear a heavy coating of repellant (Off, Woods, etc) because the chiggers and ticks are out in force. I had well over 100 bites on my lower extremities (I should have sprayed heavier!) but much of that was due to just how overgrown the trails were throughout the system. Lots of sand too. Would probably be a much better experience during the spring or fall with a brief spell...
