J F Spillane Store — Attraction in Norristown

I went to the store to buy a bottle of fabric softener. First of all the bottles of tide that they usually sell for 13 to $12 is being sold for $28 they did not have no fabric softener but the little supposedly $1.25 bottles a fabric softener that they sell at Dollar Tree but sold them for $1.59 I thought that was too much because they're taking from one store and charging extra for what I could have gotten regular price. I bought the fabric softener to add into my clothing and I noticed it wasn't fabric softener I went to smell it and it didn't smell like fabric softener it was hardened like jello so I had the forcefully take it out of the bottle then my clothes leathered up with suds so therefore I added more soap that was inside of a fabric softener bottle to my clothing.I called spillanes and He spoke very good English when he answered the phone but when I told him the issue it became a language barrier. So they're taking empty bottles and filling them with an unknown substance to make more money. SHAME ON...

I initially gave this store 5 stars as they are my go to store as I work in Norristown. However today just 1 day prior to me being in the store and spending $100 on hair I was instructed to get out! I wrapped my scarf around my face as I forgot my mask and asked where my mask was? So as I proceed to the register to purchase one. As my plan was to purchase more hair, that's when the same gentleman who kindly rang me up yesterday told me to get out his store because the customers (maybe the one that walked by me with no mask or face covering at all) complained and feared their lives were endangered because I wrapped my scarf around my face. I will NEVER spend another $100+ in this store again. When a employee walks in my office with or without a face covering I dont bark at them I provide them with a mask or kindly advise...

Not a huge fan. I have been in this shop a few times now. Granted, there is a vast selection of many items from wigs to whatever you may be looking for--and that's a good thing. But the customer service leaves much to be desired. Allow me to site one example. I'm looking for bobbed wigs for the summer. I know what I want. In the search, a woman who works there was very "agitated" at best that I couldn't make up my mind. She was arrogant and rude when I told her what she was showing me was not a true bob. She was becoming more and more annoyed until she finally walked away from me. The price point of the wigs is on the higher side compared to sites like Divatress and HairsoFly. In all honesty, there is another beauty supply/wig outlet a few blocks away--that store is much better and the customer service...
