WHAT A BLAST! We are up here in NC for only 5 days and made sure we did this! We did the FULL Course (8 ziplines) and so worth it. I'm 67 & hubby is 79 and our last zipline experience was like 18+ years ago. So we were pretty rusty. We could not have had a better time. We we're set up with a fun group, 6 of us, plus our 2 FREAKIN-AMAZING guides ~ BRIAN and MORGAN. They made the trip so fun, and educational as well! We all appreciated the survival tip about White Pines (thx guys)! Morgan took fun pictures and videos with her Go-Pro. We felt safe at ALL times, even on the tallest, longest zips out there! They gave great instructions on each run and especially helped me fine-tune my ziplining abilities! I'm not the greatest athlete out there! Upon check-in, as well as check-out, the office staff were friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend Brian, Morgan and the entire Highlands Aerial Park Staff. Don't miss this fun adventure. We bought a picture pkg (several options to chose from) and can't wait to see our pictures!

Went for my second time to visit Highlands Aerial Park this past weekend, and I am stoked that we had a gorgeous day to do the full canopy zipline tour with Ben and Lucy! Several years ago, I did the guided scenic UTV tour, which I highly recommend, as well. That tour gives you plenty of views of the vast mountain ranges and stunning foliage that accompanies those expansive views. We added the giant mountain swing onto our zipline tour for a discounted rate, and that was a thrilling decision that I would say to totally go for! I wish it lasted longer because it was so fun! And the slow-mo video of pulling the rip cord and plunging down was hilarious, never to be forgotten! They offer other activities, including a ropes course for children and a huge tree climb, so the chances are high that you will find something for everyone in your group, for every level of thrill seeker. Again, we were fortunate to have extremely beautiful fall weather with a SICK cloud cover in the mountain valleys as we were zipping through the skies, that amplified the breathtaking mountainscape we witnessed last Saturday! The Squealing Mare line is over a 1/4 mile and I would honestly recommend taking your hand off the line for this one and letting physics (or whatever, cuz I didn't take that class) take over and deliver you a spinning view of the awesome scenery, this happened unintentionally with me and I am glad it did, as I was able to truly see what was around me. Don't forget to look down! 😉

There is a 250 pound weight limit for zipline and they do verify your weight by scale at the check-in desk. Gray (manager) was super kind and said he doesn't shout out your weight, so don't feel too bad, they are very understanding. If you're worried, weigh yourself before you leave the house for vacation and be mindful of the restrictions.

Now, I must commend the entire staff at Highlands Aerial Park! We came in contact with Gray (checked us in and managed our tours) and had fantastic guidance on the course from Lucy and Ben. Gray was friendly, helpful, and had a great attitude! It is so obvious that the guides and staff undergo extensive training and prioritize safety as paramount. I felt safe and comforted by Lucy and Ben throughout the whole way, with them giving encouragement to all if things got a lil dicey up there and anxieties started to run rampant. They are very knowledgeable about every aspect of their job and many questions that your average participant would ask. They did their best to inform us of the ins and outs of the course- which platforms moved the most, how fast you would get on certain lines, tips for maneuvering yourself if you lose your grip. They gave information about the trees and made the tour not only informative, but FUNNY! The tour guide chemistry between Ben and Lucy certainly added to the level of fun we had, as their quick wit and perfectly-timed jokes eased any tensions or worries, giving us quite a chuckle while zipping and whipping through the trees. Lucy did a great job at capturing our video and picture moments throughout the tour and had a sweet, kind, and pleasant demeanor throughout, that made me feel very supported at every turn! I learned that our devastatingly handsome guide, Ben, only works on Saturdays. So, if you want to experience his charm, humor, and splendor, you better pick Saturday! Don't worry, yall, I didn't flirt with Ben during the tour, I wasn't trying to make the man's professional or personal life awkward!! But, it was nice to have a vibrant personality and wonderful smile like Ben's along the way. Lucy is so cutie, sweet, and talented out there, so you will really be fortunate if you get either of these guides! Carly + Ania zipped very happily through the course and will very likely return on one of our...

What a delightful day my granddaughter and I had ziplining at Highlands Aerial Park. Tyler and Morgan were our guides for our full mountaintop tour. Their professionalism, enthusiasm, knowledge and humor were five stars all the way. They made sure our experience was their priority from the start. We had one young zipper that was a little hesitant. They were patient and encouraging. Never pressed him in the least. He gained his confidence because of them. And sword through the trees the last four lines on his own. They educated us with some trivia regarding White Pine and Poplar trees. About their bark, sap and how you can survive in the woods with those valuable tidbits. Who knew!? Tyler was awesome with his humor. His punchlines hit their mark every time. He could add a well practiced comedian to his resume. Morgan was a breath of fresh air. She has a talent for observing what you need to ease your anxiety. She is a person with attention to details. That's a gift. If something didn't work for you she gave you another option. She is humorous as well. The two are a great pair. With all of the humor, laughter and trivia.....attention to OUR SAFETY was always number one with these two. Thank you both for the awesome ride and beautiful experience shared with my granddaughter. Thank you to James at the front desk that day. You set the stage for our wonderful day. Making sure we weren't in need of anything. Totally organized! (May I have the Chai box next time? Please. ;)) Wishing you all a safe, profitable and wonderful rest of the season!

Thrilling Adventure with Breathtaking Views at Highlands Aerial Park! Our family recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Highlands Aerial Park in Scaly Mountain, North Carolina, and what an unforgettable adventure it was! Nestled amidst the stunning western North Carolina landscape, this outdoor zip line activity offered not just thrills but also awe-inspiring views that left us speechless. From the moment we arrived, safety was clearly a top priority. The staff's professionalism and attention to detail immediately put our minds at ease. But what truly made our experience exceptional were our guides, Lucy and Duke. Their infectious humor and evident competence not only made us feel secure but also added an extra layer of enjoyment to the entire adventure. As we soared through the treetops, the feeling of freedom was indescribable. Each zip line presented a new perspective of the lush surroundings, leaving us mesmerized by the natural beauty of the area. Whether it was gliding through the canopy or crossing thrilling aerial bridges, every moment was filled with excitement and wonder. Highlands Aerial Park exceeded our expectations in every way possible. It's the perfect outdoor activity for families looking to bond over adrenaline-pumping experiences and breathtaking scenery.
