I attended the crank today. It was a good show. Live saw mill And Black Smith with steam and hit and miss engines. Its truly a step back in time to simple days. There was tractor on display from the local tractor club. They had garden tractor pulls. As well as full size pullers. Great food and ice cream. The only disappointing thing was no tee-shirts or hats of the event. Just buttons, which were great, hoping for...

The Ole Gilliam Mill Park is a very interesting place and is always open to visitors. However, visitors are left on their own to roam the park except for once a year when they Crank-Up the Sawmill and other equipment that produce items such as "Wooden Shingles" and "Tobacco Sticks". Don't miss the once a year opportunity to experience the way things were done in times past. There is a small entrance fee on this...

I love this place! I stumbled across it when I was going for a drive and had to check it out. It's open to public, not packed at all. Its a historic gem, super cute and rustic. The only animals i had seen were some geese walking about. I didn't see any parking spots so we parked on the side next to another vehicle that was there.

We had an awesome day! The gentlemen were there working today and shared information with us about the equipment and buildings! It was a beautiful, crips fall day. We enjoyed hiking and exploring the park. We hope to go back next year on the first weekend after Mother’s for their mill festival. Here’s some pictures we took today.
