Great park with lots of great trails for riders of all skill levels.

PBJ is a great line for people who want jumps and burms and some flowy riding. The trail is quite long for a jump line and keeps going all the way to the bottom.

Black Forest (and Stone soup which is at the end of black forest) is a great double.black diamond downhill. It is a serious downhill that is PACKED with features, huge drops and crazy rock gardens. An Enduro bike can handle it well if you take it slow. I highly recommend walking the larger features first, hitting them blind WILL lead to a flat tire or bent rim or much worse.

Boat Rock is great for a more easy ride, it is quite flowy and takes a few hours to complete if you take your time. Similar to a cross country loop with a faster descent. If you want to make it a bit harder, keep climbing up Boat Rock and hit Ol' Hoss, which is a black diamond trail at the top of the mountain, however it rides more like a blue. This will put you back onto Boat Rock afterwards.

Overall, the entire park is great. It's got an interesting but small pump track and a natural jungle gym for the kiddos. The park has public restrooms and water fountains, which are closed for winter from late October...

Chipmunks! Lots of them!!!

The climb to the summit was pretty mild, and with ample undulations to break any monotony. I spent my earned DH dollars on flow: Jumbo Shrimp and PBJ. JS looks like a real hoot at full speed, and was plenty fun at less. It has a couple alternate lines of different difficulty for good measure. PBJ is everything I anticipated from the multiple videos I've seen on it. OG review I love this place! It's comprised of a network of mostly not long trails. They label them from green to double black. I tried all levels through single black on an old 26er with a whopping 100mm of travel front and back. I had little trouble with almost all of it. The park has some serious rock gardens, rollers abound, and there aren't many steep climbing sections. Then there's PBJ. That's a professionally built short downhill skills trail. It's beautiful! Also check out the well mapped skills areas to enhance your riding experience. There's also a small and fun pump track at the entrance. I had a ton of fun on a fairly casual ride intended to scope this place out. Take the family and go have some...

Best free downhill trail sections on the east coast. I've been too quite a few downhill parks, and PBJ Skills Trail has features that are comparable to them all. We're talking 8-10 foot lips, perfectly crafted from the dirt. Beautiful brown berms you shraaaap till your hearts content. The trail make up is particular shaley (loose rocks), so your bottom bracket may take a beating. But just hold on to those damn handle bars and you'll come out of the experience a far greater shredder than when you started. You do have to earn your descents, as its a roughly 1.5 mile ride to the first summit where PBJ starts. And for those with Iron thighs, the additional 2 mile ride to the summit is well worth it. We're talking 3-4 miles of varying descent sprinkled with all the features you know and love with spectacular views of the mountains of Boone NC. I literally cannot wait to hit...

Rocky knob is a set of intermediate mountain bike trails with huge variety. Technical rocky descents with challenging features, to flowy berms you can hit perfect first time. It offers a challenge and reward for your climb. There are two similar difficulty climbing trails with a shorter easier loop option available. For the full loop it's about a 3 mile climb and similar descent. The map is out of date and many of the trails have been renamed and some new added. That said you can still figure out where you are using the map and make decisions on which trails to take. Over all I really like these trails, our group of 4 very different intermediate riders found something to enjoy on this trail system.
