I had a takamine guitar that my late dad given me get taken out of the housekeeping/ general managers office without my knowing! It shouldn't have even gotten in the office in the first place..She told me nothing could be done about it, that she had no control over that.... after a year of practically raising hell over the self entitled human being to give it back, I got it back broken!! I worked for blue ridge for 4 years and came to realize they're idots with the worst management and apparently anyone can take anything they want that is worth a penny..... but look at the turn over rate and the responses that are given and that should give a person some knowledge about how the place is ran!! They sold out over a year ago and told employees 4 months ago that all we did was switched apps to get our pay stubs... 5 star company that the owner can't do nothing but give idiot answers to all the true one star reviews, guest and owners might want to check their sheets to make sure the beds were even changed seeing that the good housekeepers were having to wash linens in house against owners approval.. good luck with anyone that deals with this place!!! Now I'm going to have to find someone to repair my guitar... I would have left the job very gratefully if I weren't lied too and treated with respect, like good human beings should treat one another.... I still yet to get a response out of why my guitar was taken and broken...if blueridge would take responsibility and have my guitar repaired that was taken i would give them a 5 star review for doing the right thing..but apparently they're dealing with the other bad reviews first or doing nothing at all... I take it, doing nothing at all... I'll delete the review if my guitar that was taken/stolen situation is dealt with by whom ever suppose to be responsible.. blueridge will not respond to is responsible for the theft... we'll for an updated response... I was told to call the law over that from the Lil boys moma... still no response from blueridge... we'll i did have a response... I guess I made everything up, and all the owners that are paying a management company for linens have all agreed to have linens done in house. And monarch had nothing to do with the company a year ago, . I'm sorry, I have to be delusional... ignore me ... blueridge mtn rentals is awesome... that's what they need and want to hear.... and my guitar was never taken out of the office apparently... my bad blueridge mtn rentals... I just left because I was delusional and my dad's guitar was never taken and damaged... how could anyone be that crazy... blueridge is the best ... they have more 5 star reviews than any company around... I should have stated that you all were angels sent from heaven... I'm not even sure why I was told not to say anything about monarch... I'm sorry!! Im so delusional that all I seen was monarch butterfly's whirling around my head... being inaccurate is one thing, being a liar is another..... sorry blueridge, I'm too inaccurate to work there for you all... I let you down for being so inaccurate and I'm sorry... the general manager that I reported it too should have the text the same as I do.... please blueridge tell people who you don't know who monarch is... I never consented any of my information to them. And somehow they ended up with it.... I still want my guitar repaired.... but it was basically said I was delusional and made it all up... that was expected... and yes I did give a 2 week notice if you need to see it in writing, I actually have a 2 week notice put in dec 9th.. so again management is lacking , and lies being told...the manager i reported it to, states on their card stating they are gm of the two zones we worked...I shouldn't have to name names , but i did report it.. and her son does act like he's a 4 year old.. all I can say your 1 star reviews and answers to them says it all. i cannot believe the lies. I want my guitar repaired... I don't work for thieves and liars, so I quit..also giving another company my personal information without consent....

I am writing this review to express my deep dissatisfaction with Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals following a recent experience that was not only disappointing but also dangerous.
I rented a house for two nights at a cost of $2400, and was advised to use a 4-wheel drive vehicle with chains. My husband’s Chevrolet 2500HD is a large, capable truck equipped for such conditions. We have lived in Western North Carolina our entire lives (55 years) and are well-acquainted with driving in the snow. However, the situation we encountered upon arriving at the community was unacceptable.
The entrance to the community was covered in snow, and it was clear that no efforts had been made to scrape or salt the roads. As we began to drive up the steep mountain, the slick conditions quickly became alarming. After a few turns climbing up we got stuck, and it was terrifying! We were sliding backward down the mountain with a steep drop-off on one side. Thankfully, we had a shovel in the truck, which allowed my husband to create a space to turn around.
Descending the mountain was equally perilous. The road was a solid sheet of ice, and even with the truck in the lowest gear, we struggled to maintain control and sliding off the side of the mountain. This was a nightmare of a situation, compounded by the fact that we had two children in the back seat, and I continue to have flashbacks about it. We understand the driveway to the property not being maintained, we expected that, but we had no idea that the main road in the subdivision getting to the house would be in such bad conditions!
When I contacted the rental company to explain that we couldn’t reach the property due to the hazardous road conditions, their response was disappointing. They simply said they would pass my message along to customer care. We had nowhere to go and so we went back home! It was very disappointing. The next day, I did receive a call from one representative who seemed skeptical about my claims regarding the road conditions. She promised to investigate and follow up, but it has been several days and I have yet to hear back.
Upon reviewing the lengthy rental agreement, I discovered that the company absolves itself of any responsibility for access issues due to snow. They are fully aware of the potential dangers posed by the steep, unmaintained roads, yet they continue to rent properties without ensuring safe access.
This experience did not only ruin our trip but also put my family's safety at risk. I feel compelled to warn others about Blue Mountain Rentals. While some may leave positive reviews, I urge potential customers to pay close attention to the negative feedback. This company is a scam, and they do not prioritize the safety or satisfaction of their clients. My family and I will not be returning, and I will continue to share our experience to prevent others from facing the same ordeal.
Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals, expect to hear more from me.
UPDATE: For any potential customers reading these reviews, it's essential to pay close attention to the tone of the company's responses. The replies come across as condescending, and the claims made are misleading. Writing reviews to inform others about possible fraud should not be dismissed as "spam." There is no way anyone could have accessed that mountain on the day we were there—this is simply untrue. While they offered me a credit for the same house, it feels pointless since I only travel to Boone to ski, meaning the same mountain would be just as treacherous as before. Additionally, the offer of six bottles of wine was inappropriate, as I do not consume alcohol. A fair resolution would have been a refund of $2,469 to stay at ANY of their rentals, but that was not provided. I have sought advice on this matter and someone will be in...

We have been renting from BRMR for over a decade. We recently had a horrible experience at Lost Ridge (No A/C - No Water) at the beginning of July. Our trip was to heal after losing my father. This did not occur. While I am unable to post all the communication with BRMR, after experiencing No A/C & No Water at Lost Ridge, we were moved to Apple of My Eye to find it dirty, uncleaned (see pictures). We were finally moved to Above & Beyond. We spent an entire day dealing with issues with the 1st 2 cabins and were charged for the same night twice (charged the rate for Lost Ridge and again Above & Beyond). We received a response from BRMR that they would give us a future $300 credit for our troubles. We weren't even refunded for being charged twice for the same night. We requested a partial refund — specifically the value of the duplicate night charge and a fair adjustment to account for the lack of promised amenities, the unusable cabin, and the time lost resolving these issues. We were happy to provide phone logs and payment receipts, should they be helpful in reconciling the billing discrepancy. We are business owners. A future $300 credit (that will never be used) is not an acceptable resolution to all these issues.
Our initial email to BRMR: Thank you for your time on the phone this afternoon. Below is a breakdown of what occurred during our weekend last Friday, June 27 through Tuesday, July 1. Our initial reservation was Friday to Monday. My father passed away 2 weeks ago, so we decided to extend the stay for $130.85 to enable us to check out on Tuesday, July 1 instead so we could have more time to grieve and heal. I was charged $1,094.04 on 6/13/25 and $130.85 on 6/19/25, totaling $1224.89. Both of these charges were on card # ending in XXXX.
We arrived at Lost Ridge around 4:30pm on Friday and the key code given to get in (my phone number) did not work. We had to call the office and speak to a representative. She was able to open the door for us and gave us a new code.
The house was extremely warm when we arrived. I am 53 years old and menopausal so a cool temperature is crucial for my comfort. The description on your website states there were "mini-splits for cooling needs”. The shades were all down when we arrived so we went about turning on the mini-splits to cool the house down. When we arrived it was 78 degrees, it never went cooler than 76 degrees. Our home is kept at 70 degrees and we sleep at 66 degrees. I did not sleep at all that night due to being so uncomfortable. In addition, while my husband was brushing his teeth around 9:30pm, the water stopped. My husband called the emergency line at 9:38pm and spoke to a man for 5 minutes and then called again at 9:46pm and spoke to a man for 11 minutes who promised to come out that evening and would call us back (let me know if you would like proof of these calls and I will email you cell phone call logs). That never happened. We went to bed not able to shower after a long day of traveling nor could we flush the toilets. This ruined our plans to use the fire pit that night, which was a main reason for renting that house.
BRMR RESPONSE: I hope you are doing well today. Thank you for your patience in this matter while we worked on your request. I wanted to let you know that after sharing your email with our Management team, they want to offer a good will gesture of a $300.00 future credit. This can be used at any of our homes and you will have a full year from today to use it. I have copied this email and put in the notes under your past reservation. When you are ready to book, please reach out to our Reservations team and share this email with them. They will take care of deducting the future credit off your...
