A nice little hidden gem. Great view of the lake and shoreline. I come here in the wintertime to see the ice dunes. Make sure you bring a warm jacket, gloves and a hat if you decide to go in the winter. There is a steady wind that comes off of the lake that will chill you to the bone if you aren't dressed properly. You can stay in your car and still have a great view if the cold is not your thing.

Not a beach for lounging in the sand or swimming. All large rock shoreline. Beautiful for sunset's however! Many visit just for the sunset then leave. Great spot for skipping stones. Nice little park with small playground equipment. Park is named after first woman to swim across Lake Erie from Canada, Halli Reid!

This is one of the most beautiful parts of our trip to New York each year. We always follow the lake up rather then taking the highway and never regret it! There are bathrooms, swings and a play area for children. Walk the beach, skip stones and drink in the serenity .

Small beach with lifeguard. You'll find the shore is similar to what you find under the waves. Patches of sand, pebbles, and river rocks. The larger round stones tend to pile up in the churning of the wind waves, so be aware when walking into the surf. This can make for some stubbed toes or slippery tumbles into the water. Overall a nice clean beach, zoned for public use. Water seems clean, besides the occasional dead fish. That always makes the kids scream. A shower can be found on the backside of the beach's public bathroom. Other than that...

It was painfully hot yesterday, but the beach made it bearable. There are 2 pavilions, a bathroom, and an outdoor shower. There is also a playground (not a good day for the slide today) and a creek. And, of course, the beach. Typical of all lake Erie beaches, thee is a mix of rocks and sand. The buoys mark a steep drop off. Pay attention to the lifeguards! Fun fact, Freeport beach to Long Point (Ontario) is the shortest path across the lake. Halle Reid park is named after the first woman to do so (who happened to be my swim teacher...
