A Snowy Adventure with a Navigational Challenge: Ogden Nordic Ski Resort My experience snowshoeing at Ogden Nordic Ski Resort was a delightful mix of fun and mild frustration. The resort offers a scenic 2.5-mile trail, which is perfect for an easy and enjoyable snowshoeing adventure. The beauty of the snow-covered landscape provided a serene backdrop for the activity, making it a truly enjoyable experience. However, the lack of trail markers along the route was a significant drawback. The trails at Ogden Nordic crisscross and intersect frequently, creating confusion without clear signage. This lack of direction made it challenging to ensure that we were on the correct trail, detracting from the otherwise peaceful experience. The only map available was at the trailhead, but additional guidance along the trail would have been greatly appreciated. On a positive note, the staff at the resort were friendly and helpful. Their assistance at the beginning of our adventure was a warm welcome, setting a positive tone for the day. In summary, Ogden Nordic Ski Resort offers a fantastic snowshoeing experience with its easy trail and beautiful surroundings. However, the enjoyment of the trail is somewhat lessened by the absence of trail markers, which can lead to confusion and uncertainty. With better signage and directions along the trails, my rating would easily jump to five stars. As it stands, the resort provides a lovely winter outing with just a small navigational caveat.

We liked the adventure of exploring as we cross country skied here. We did feel a little anxiety since my husband had never done nordic before and I haven’t for over 10 years. We were glad it snowed Presidents’ Day weekend to give us the chance to test this place out. We wished there were better trail signs once we were on the back side because it made me nervous there weren’t a lot of people using the trail Tuesday daytime and I wasn’t sure if it would loop back around but didn’t feel comfortable just doing it based on what my phone gps was showing me. Plus, it was only about 20 degrees that day and we weren’t prepared for an extended time on the trail. There were several markers near the beginning but hardly any after that so we didn’t know how much further we would have to go to join up with the other trail so based on time constraints we chose to go back where we were already familiar. We went an hour in and an hour back. It is a great workout! The office was closed and the website actually hadn’t been updated saying the trails were open, we just went expecting that due to the snowfall they would be open.

This place is pretty amazing. There are trails all over for many uses (non motorized). I cant wait to come back in the winter with a fat bike and explore the trails all over again. I haven't camped here, but the fee is $20 and the campsites are extremely well kept. There are dumpsters and bathrooms all over around the campsites. You will see animals, I saw a moose and a deer in the morning.

I recently called this company to inquire about the types of skiing they offer. As someone new to the sport, I specifically mentioned twice that I was interested in beginner training/lessons. I had hoped for a bit of understanding and patience, considering I’m unfamiliar with the process. Unfortunately, I was met with dismissiveness and made to feel like my questions were an inconvenience.

Good customer service should prioritize assisting potential clients, especially those new to the activity. Had the representative taken a moment to listen carefully and thoughtfully respond, we could have easily reached an understanding.

I appreciate that not every company values new customers equally, so I’ll take my...
