Dettore Farm — Attraction in North Ridgeville

I have my two horses boarded at this facility. It is basically a co-op barn. Most of the boarders take feeding and turn out shifts. This creates an ideal situation in that everyone knows all the horses, and are personally invested in thier care and well being.

This is not a full care facility. We are responsible for purchasing our own grain, bedding, and cleaning our stalls and paddocks. We also need to purchase additional hay as the barn only supplies 4 flakes per day. That said, for the price and availability of daily turn out in segregated paddocks, it's not a bad deal. I first came to Dettore Farms in 2015 when the farm first opened to the public for boarders. My horses absolutely thrived in this setting. My old quarter horse was a cribber prior to coming to this farm but never cribbed again. I attribute it to the relaxed atmosphere and daily turnout. Great place, nice horse boarding atmosphere. Nice indoor arena. Very reasonable board fee. Lots of acreage in rotating pastures. Will be using them next summer (2018) when we leave for a few months to do...
