This is by far the worst Drive in I have ever been to .
Let me start by saying at the start of the movie they have a message pratically begging u to go to the snack bar, claiming that is what finacially supports them.currently it probably is, but if they invested in their property more guest would come and ticket sales would increase. They would not need the snack bar to support the drive in anymore.
1: the parking lot is a nightmare. It is just a wreck weeds growing up everywhere , some are 15" h or more. Hills and dips, pot holes, patch work over large embankments. I twisted an ankle on the way to the snack bar. Not lit paths going to the snack bar or bathroom
2: their flyer expresses to not leave your hatch back fully open, everyone was . Those of us with lawn chairs or cars could not see. They use to make the trucks or cars with hatch backs part at the back, not anymore. They really need sercurity to walk lot and enforce some.rules.
3: at least 50% of guest kept their car running through thqe entire movie, not only noisey, but for those of ua behind them with opened windows and lawn chairs, the fumea were unbearable. So during intermission instead of going to the snack bar and spending money , we left fed up and annoyed ( by the time we got to the road we were even more annoyed, their parking lot at night is a dangerous, car damaging nightmare.) If they had sercurity patrolling the area they could remind guest to keep cars off ....especially headlights yes guest kept headlights and interior lights on.
4: more about their horrible parkinh lot, noone knew where to park ao everyone was uneven, causing those coming in right before the start, or those leaving at intermission to really have to play maze runner through a dark parking lot. Please hire more parking attendants so that u can have a couple up in the parking areas guiding people ,in and out with lights. Your parking lot is a death trap and I really do not know how the town/or state allows you to be open.
5: people were smoking and drinking at their cars.
6: trash bags piled up on the ground at the dumpster. Auper tacking. We arrived at 6:30 (opening) and they were there , at intermission they were even more. Also AT OPENING the womans bathroom had not been cleaned from night before.trash over flowing, the femine trash containers in the stalls full
7: get your credit card machines working in the snack bar people are walking out !!!!
Your message at the begining of the movie , that appears u are begging for money. I can see why. Your opperate like a slum landlord...falling appart gets you rif raff....guest that will not spend a lot in.the snack bar, care only about themselves when they run theor cars smoke, are loud and drinking.( the people behind us-- were throwing things and drinking beer) Fix the parking lot , hire some security, enforce some rules so all can enjoy, and u will find more guest will come and they will also spend!!!
As for me, i will never know if u pave the lot , i will NEVER return. I will driver the eztra 15 min to the mendon drive in !!!! For $3 more a car load it is worth driving the...
Read moreDo not rely on the person at the gate....check your own ticket. Went last night with my daughter in law and 2 small children. I bought the tickets online ($42.50) and checked area for "oversize vehicle" (Dodge Ram 3500) We arrived an hour and a half early to avoid parking lot traffic and situate the kids before it got too packed. The guy at the gate took the ticket and told us Screen 1. He gave us directions to go to that screen. The young kids that work the parking lot guided us to screen 1. Fine, we were all set up for an hour and a half..., but when the movie started it was the wrong movie! I got the parking workers and told them the situation. They said ok we will move you "here" and saved the spot. All movies had now already started. My daughter in law had to navigate in the dark, no lights, packed parking lot, people walking everywhere with that extremely large truck as I walked the two young kids (not going to put them in car seats at this point) to our "saved spot" for screen 3..Shout out to her for pulling that one off! LOL We have now missed half of the first movie...about 15 other cars had to move as well. They were all told the wrong screen! Our new spot, far, far away from the screen, now gives us perfect view to watch and enjoy all the cars come in and out right in front of us! (see the pict) After the first movie ended, we also missed half the 2nd one. The parade of cars leaving was the first half of the second movie, which would have been avoided had we been directed to the correct spot for screen 3 in the first place. I understand it may have been an honest mistake for the man at the gate, but a pretty darn huge one! Check your ticket and know your screen. Do not rely on the person at the gate to do their job and you will have a good time. We will go back, we will not let that happen again and the kids working the parking lot were very nice., but the situation stirred up our Anxiety (we did catch the 2nd half of Inside out, which was cute) and the kids had fun. Attaching the picture of our tailgate conveniently located on the road leading in and out for ALL screens, allowing us perfect view of the car parade. We still had a good time. ...
Read moreFor the first time in a while there was a pairing of films that I was interested in seeing. New films that were not animated or geared towatd children. My boyfriend and I arrived, checking in was easy but everything else was a chore, at least. There is noamagement of the lot. People had chairs in parking spots between cars, people who were parking couldn't see them and kept trying to pull in. I have one of those cars whise running lights don't turn off. The kids, and I liteeally mean kids, who travel in packs of at least 3, came around half an hour into the movie to place a garbage bag over just 1 of my lights. The people in the car next to me asked me to turn off the lightand I told them I could not. That should be the end but no, the condesention of "are you sure?", "can i try?" Running lights that stay on is not an isolated incident with my car but is more common. The 3 kids came back and again asked me multiple times to turn off my lights even though they hd already placed bags. One kid pointed out that they had already put a bag and another was lime well, the light must have been out. Well, I didn't rewire it or change a bulb during the movie, I hadn't even gotten out of the car. During all of this, we missed the climax and end of the movie. I was upset about feeling ganged up on, missing the end of the movie, that I left after the first movie in tears. This was the first date night I was having with my boyfriend in months since my father died. As I drove over the incredibly bumpy and rutted parking lot l, where the asphalt has heaved over years without maintenance, no one had thought to leave the exit lane open which I'm pretty sure creates some safety and egress concerns. There is a total lack of management of tbe lot, parking areas vs. pedestrian areas. This was tbe worst movie going experience I've had. It was a completely demoralizing and...
