This is a dog friendly beach and it is a great location. It has ample parking and is about 30 minutes from Jacksonville. It's not a far walk from the water if you park on the southern most lot. The northern lots are not suitable for those with mobility issues of those carrying ton of heavy loads to the beach. The northern lots require you to take a step staircase up, over, and down the sand dunes. The stair way does provide beach access and gives a great view of the area. I have seen people set up in the shade provided by the stair ways. Dogs must be kept on a leash during peak months. The beach has patrols on quads that will come ask you to keep your dog on it's leash. There's tons of shells to find in the area. Lots of agates and quartz. This place is excellent for beach combing. Read moreMST Directional Signs installed today on the MST pole at MM 14 aka NTB Town Park in the Beach Access Parking Lot..

Tim & Cathy Supple (MST 15B Trail Team Leaders, Trail Angels, etc) and to Mike & Diane O'Neill, Merv & Dawne Reedy, Nickolas Worth and family for designing, fabricating and installing the beautiful, new NTB...

There is also a short walking trail through a wooded area. (This trail is for walking only, no bikes.) One trail leads to a small pier. On the other side of the picnic area is a walking path to a gazebo over the water. Parking right next to the park is paid parking. However, there is a free parking lot right across the street. You can also start a biking/walking trail here. The trail is paved. The trail runs beside the road but is not on the road itself. The trail ends at the town hall, at the bottom...
