On this trip, we hiked the trail ACROSS the from the Cross' road. It's known as the WISHING WELL and GREEN CATHEDRAL, as weddings are sometimes held here.This is a quiet, peaceful attraction in Jumonville with ponds, wooden bridges, a small outdoor chapel, and all the serenity of being surrounded in nature's beauty. There are multiple hiking trails from here ..one has been updated as a fitness trail and one leads to Washington's Rock, another French and Indian War site in Jumonville. *If you take the wooden bridge on the right, theres a tiny path where u may find a rock with a natural spring under it. It was a great way to spend time with family. It's a good walk, peaceful surrounding, we strangers spoke to one another laughing about the walk and the last time we visited(we have done bonfires, storytelling, and mini sermon here years ago), nice place to think about what GOD has done and allow men to accomplish. The lookout at such a high view is breath taking. If you are able to take a hike or walk here you will not regret coming here(it is also a campsite). The boys did decide to roll down back to the path i felt like joining them but i thought it best to watch them do it over...
