Kennicott Grove is an area of prairie and wooded lands that includes the home of John Kennicott and his family, including his son Robert Kennicott. John Kennicott was an agriculturalist and a doctor. Robert Kennicott was a naturalist and an explorer, who founded the Chicago Academy of Sciences.
