Flaky Crust Pies — Attraction in Norton

Stopped by Christmas Eve, about 30 minutes after they were scheduled to be closed. As we pulled up two people were standing in the window behind the counter. They waved us in, even though they were closed. Inside there was a great selection amongst a few full size refrigerator coolers within the store, and a refrigerator case under the front counter. A menu listing their available products was written on the wall behind the counter. The customer area was about the size of a deli area, and did not feel crowded. It was very clean, organized, and the staff was very friendly. I did not feel rushed to make a decision, and took a few minutes to look around. I ended up purchasing a chocolate cream pie, and an apple pie for the holidays. Both were awesome, and well received by my family. I especially loved the chocolate cream pie. We discovered Flaky Crust pies around Thanksgiving when we received a gift voucher from a business we use. We considered not using it because I live 40 minutes from there and loading up the kids for 1 free pie didn't seem worth the time or gas. But since activities during the pandemic are limited we decided to take the opportunity to get out of the house for a few hours. I didn't check their website before going to get our pie so I was pleasantly surprised to see the savory dinner pies. We walked out of there with a bunch of pies! They have the best chicken pot pie I've ever had. The desert pies are also amazing. We now make it a point to stock up whenever we are in that area, and they are our go-to place for dessert pies. As an added bonus every staff member I interacted with was incredibly friendly, helpful and nice. This is Mr. Love, my Wife would go to the bakery and ask for GF items (Gluten Free). She enjoyed the peanut butter cookies at one point and ordered 2 dozen. The order came back completely different then the ones she enjoyed. They were nearly see through, they were burned and thin. The whole reason she requested the 2 dozen was because they were previously thick and fluffy. When we went to ask them to be remade in good faith we were offered a refund but never was our request to have them remade honored. Upon request there was no accommodation on any other items to be custom made GF (Gluten Free). Therefore as a novice baker I'm aware that anything baked can be custom made to be GF (Gluten Free). This is a business of professional bakers and to not accommodate and custom make pies, cakes or cookies for a customer who's asking in advance is not exceptional.
