I may have found some of the best BBQ in southeastern MA 👀 Freedom BBQ is currently operating on Monday and Tuesday nights in Hillside Johnny’s. They’re a veteran owned small business just getting started in the restaurant world. Mike, the owner, said he saw a video of someone explaining how to smoke a brisket a few years ago and decided to give it a go. He has no past restaurant experience, just found a passion and love for smoking meat 🔥 He made us a special platter so we could try a-lotta-bit everything. I loved the meatballs. They were spicy, flavorful, and unlike anything I’ve ever had before 😍 The ribs were probably the best I’ve ever had: they fell right off the bone, weren’t greasy or fatty, and perfectly flavored. Not too saucy and messy, just really good meat. I LOVED all the sides we tried. Potato salad and coleslaw are underrated side dishes that so many places aren’t putting enough love into. Both were notably fantastic 💯 And I will always love pit beans 😋 You can buy the meat by the pound or opt for a sandwich and make it a combo with a side. 📌Freedom BBQ, Norton MA (at Hillside Johnnys) Mondays and Tuesdays, 4-8pm and the bar is open🍹 📷 Pulled pork or pulled chicken, $12 half pound/$24 pound 📷 Ribs: $4 (1), $20 (5), $35 (10) 📷 Brisket, $15 half pound/$30 pound 📷 Sides: pit beans, potato salad, coleslaw, $5 (cup), $9 (bowl) 📷Freedom shots (3): Bacon wrapped sausage bites stuffed with smokey cheese and chiles, $10 📷 Texas meatballs (2): Beef + pork meatballs with jalapenos, $10 📷 Texas Chili (on special) 📷 Banana pudding, $5 *This meal with complimentary #food #bbq #massachusetts #brisket
