Roller Roost Sports Arena — Attraction in Norwegian Township

This review comes after well over a year of weekly skating at Roller Roost, from the perspective of someone who has been up and down the east coast skating since about 1994.

The facility and floor are really magnificent. While I prefer a wooden floor, this is the way rink builds are trending. It's cheaper and easier to maintain. Seems to be a vinyl on top of concrete. I have not had to change wheels to get the grip & control I need on this floor.

The lights and sound system are well above average, however sometimes they forget to turn it up. LOL. The music selection is very diverse, covering all genre's and generations.

They have a game room, food, snacks, etc. but I can't really speak to the experience with these aspects of this business. I see constant flow of birthday parties, which seem to go very well. I would not hesitate to throw a kids birthday party here.

The local/regular skaters/customers and kids, a.k.a. rink rats, and the culture are better than what you find at most rinks. Its a friendly atmosphere without clicks, etc.

As far as safety & security, they hire private security on the busiest days/times to scan people on entry, check bags, etc. and I have seen them intervene when a youngsters behavior is putting others at risk.

In terms of controlling the floor and enforcing safety, I find they do a good job.

I can't speak to the quality of the rental skates, as I have never used them. But they appear to be well maintained and I have never seen a rental skate come apart...

First time I've been since the owner switch over and I was very disappointed. First thing that made me feel uncomfortable was the security. I'm aware it is for everyone's safety but ehy had my two year old daughter trying to stand there open up her arms and spread her legs so.was so confused and not understanding what was going on finally after putting her through it trying to make her do it and her not understanding they let her go. I guess it is what it is but as a mom it just made me feel a type of way. Then making grown adults take their vapes ect out to their car althat they can have them on them? That's personal property and when u send them.out make them stand back in like for another 15 mins to come.back in. On top of that u don't allow anyone putsode at all not even grown adults unless u wanna pay to come back in . We felt so trapped overwhelmed coudont get fresh air. We left after 30 mins and will never...

My children were invited to a very close family friends birthday party. Now I have to say I wasn't surprised I was more irritated than anything else. I'm standing at the counter in line waiting to be waited on to get a beverage one lady just skips like I'm not even standing in and sure enough the lady behind the counter served her first okay I can see an oversight no problem. but as understanding there the line is dwindling into wendling but they're bouncing from person to person now I'm standing next to the mother who happens to be Caucasian of the child was having a birthday and they serve her. After she retrieves her food and beverages all 3 women walk away leaving me standing there like I didn't exist. So I start to show my frustration then my kids mom walks up who just so happens to be Caucasian a mediately was served.......
