Lakeshore Park — Attraction in Novi

My kids & I have been going to Lake Shore Park ever since we moved here. It was great to come hang out at the beach, play on the playground equipment, play volleyball, walk the trails, enjoy a concert & just meet up with friends. The shelters are great for having parties.

The city of Novi just finished a huge renovation on this park. Everything looks different. It used to be great but, now it is even better than before!

The shelters all have electricity! Which is great when you are having a party! I have held many birthday parties in the past. Last month I held my son's graduation party at shelter #2. It was perfect. It was close to playground equipment, drinking fountains & clean restrooms.

Lakeshore Park is a nice little Park in the community of Novi located on Walled Lake. However, I'm not sure what's going on this year because they have yet to open the beach and it is mid-june. There are always tons of Canadian geese walking on the beach and I'm wondering if they're having an E coli problem. They also want to build a large Banquet Hall facility on the property with very little parking space available. This park is nestled in a neighborhood that is not close to Highway access or main roads. I think they will negatively impact the neighborhood they are in if they move forward with building...

Free entry. The parking area bathrooms don't have toilet seats. The beach sand is soft. There are very few rocks on the beach. It's a small area and doesn't accommodate too many people. There are shaded tables for snack time and seem to be shared well. People are nice. There's a bit of a hill through the tunnel to enter that was hard with the cane but doable. The walkway is paved. There are no showers but there is a rinse station. Plenty of parking. No dogs allowed. No beach playground. No floating diving dock, thank goodness. Water limit marked well. Lots of poison ivy in the area so...
