Lakeview Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Novi

This place is the epitome of everything I dislike in an eating establishment. I've had the displeasure of eating here on multiple occasions because locals have brought me here. They love it because the bar USED to have a good steak at a fair price. If that was its saving grace, I assure you it is gone. The prices have gone up and no one at my table has received their steak the way they've ordered it for the last several meals. For my complaints... If we're going from most recent encounters, I have never seen a place undercook mozzarella sticks until then. It is consistently FREEZING inside the building. The service is super slow. I have sat in that building for 2.5 hours waiting for food. The food, at best, is mediocre bar food at regular restaurant prices. I have been there on a night where a band played and my goodness it was not a large enough space for that extensive a sound system. It was obnoxiously loud because of the size of the place. It would make significantly more sense for it to be done on the porch. Also, there is virtually no parking.

The reason this place stays open is the same reason similar shacks stay open in Florida. Old customers who can't taste their food and faithful customers that can't taste their food after they've drank enough.

Fish n’ Chips were good. My wife’s salad was not prepared correctly bc not all the ingredients made it in her salad, while the onions she asked to be omitted managed to make it into her salad. The worst part of dinner was my son’s ribeye steak. It was disgusting. My son said it tasted weird, so I tried it and it did taste weird, like a weird after taste. Hard to describe, other than disgusting. He couldn’t eat it, and we didn’t force him to either bc it was so nasty. The vegetables were no better. Over-cooked and cold, and just awful. The waitress should have been embarrassed to serve that plate of garbage to my son. And the steak was $30, which is not a lot but not little enough for me to say to myself, “well, that’s what you get for buying a cheap steak.” And my wife’s salad was $2 more than the menu price due to inflation, hahaha, inflation on a salad! The place was awful. Will never go back. To top it all off, we got home just in time to avoid a mess in my car. Ugh, it’s so disgusting to even think about right now. We had heard from several people that Lakeview Bar & Grill was so amazing.....sad to say, we were STUNNED with what happened.

My Husband and I walked in, the place was quite busy but not overly busy and made our way to a high top table. We watched several staff walk by us, not one stopped to say "we will be right with you, hold on a second, give me a few minutes"...nothing.

It became aparent that we were not regulars at this place - because we watched two people walk in and not even wait 20 seconds for someone to go them with menus, asking for drinks. Simply stunning.

We waited about 15 minutes total - at this point it became a game to see if someone would stop - no one did. Abysmal experience, I tell everyone I know about this place. I"m certain its a great place to eat if you have the secret password to get service, and...
