Most beautiful white sandy beach on Oahu with mountain backdrop!

Thanks for the family members of the couple having military IDs, we got to photograph this beautiful beach wedding on Bellows Field Beach Park. Waimanalo was my favorite beach up to a few years ago - since Bill 38, we can't shoot in this area legally anymore so it was such a big pleasure for me to have a base access to shoot at this beautiful location. You have views of Rabbit island to the right, Ko'Olau moountain range, and Mokes in Lanikai on the left. The couple had a beach ceremony and then picnic for lunch, then toast and cake cut on the beach.

I found a perfect drift wood and a tree trunk for a cake cut set up, with a cheese clothes they brought for people to sit down during the ceremony (you can see it in the last photo with their cake!). The ceremony was around 11am, high sun with a great weather, they got to have the most Hawaiian look wedding photos to take home.

The beach was relatively busy, but it is a large beach so people were spread out enough to avoid other beautgowers. I only had to photoshop people out here and there because it was totally manageable to work with angles. The couple and their friends and families decided to run to the water with their wedding attire and it make a series of beautiful and fun shots!

If you have a Military ID and base access, and have a chill wedding, Bellows Beach is an amazing option for you. You will absolutely fall in love this the beautiful turquoise color of...

This is probably the best beach in all of oahu. You can only go on weekends Friday's Saturdays and Sundays.Because the rest of the time it's for the military only and it's part of their training regime. The beach is beautiful sand you don't have to worry about stepping on rocks when you go into the water. There are plenty of lifeguards and the restrooms work and they have toilet paper.Usually it's not very crowded. It's possible to camp there if you get a pass. And then you go a little bit past where everyone else is parking and going to the beach. And you come to this area of camp sites where there's a lot of grass and trees and that goes right up to the beach. So I usually drive there. Find a nice road to pull in close to the beach. So that my car is in the shade. Because you only need a pass.I think if you're staying overnight but you have to be respectful of the people who are there with tense who are staying overnight. But watch out some local people have discovered that tourists will get hungry and they want to buy food. So there are some food trucks and stalls at the entrance of bellows beach, but you have to watch out because the fruit that you see probably does come from their trees but some of it is really not the best and they're charging ridiculously high prices for them. So I recommend you bring. A sandwich and be respectful of the land don't leave your garbage. But don't buy anything there because you will...

Did a 3 day camping trip in the Menehune campsites and despite a rainstorm at night we had a great time. Bathrooms have changing rooms, individual showers, one handicapped shower/toilet combo room, sinks with mirrors, and a water hose on the side of the building for rinsing water toys, equipment, campsite dishes. Lots of tall trees provide plenty of shade for your tent and for hanging hammocks, and everyone gets at least one picnic table per site. You need one person in your group with military ID to rent the cabins and campsites, then that person can get parking permits for everyone else. Check on the max number of vehicles you can have per the type of site you’re booking. I brought bug spray but none of us needed it. When you’re spending the day on the beach reapply sunscreen more than you think since it is totally exposed. There’s a couple of short hiking trail loops that go through wooded areas to meander through when you’ve had...

It's nice to go camp here if you like to go camp. Otherwise, very out dated camp site. Only have beach cold shower and bathroom. They do have plenty toilet paper, thank you for that. Better to bring your own hand wash soap. They also have water for wash your things away from shower. I loved that you can drive to your camp site. We could just leave everything in the car and take out as we need. I did love the food truck at the entrance of the bellows. They had real good variety of foods. Beach is known to have Portuguese man o war. So make sure you bring a spray of vinegar in case you get sting. No one really swim here, it's more for body board for kids. Every morning somebody comes to clean the trash so you don't have to worry about that. Our site had plenty big ants, had to kill some centipedes by our tents. Night time and morning, you can enjoy crab hunting. We let them go after .
