Solid BX. Pretty average for a BX, but way better than the Army PXes nearby. Good selecrion of items to include clothes, furniture, toiletries and more. Prices are much better than off post. Courtyard has a Subway, Popeye's, Starbucks and Papa John's. Commissary is near, which nice also and convenient. Would recommend.
As of 23MAY22, no face masks are required for anyone in the store. One minor issue: I went there today because their website said they had three of an item in stock only to arrive and they could find none. Not a deal breaker, just annoying.
Update as of 21AUG22: Still a solid place. Good prices, better than in town, excellent selection of department store stuff. Prices on electronics are cheaper than in town and tax free. Military ID required for purchase.
No major changes since AUG22.
No major changes since AUG22. Still the same, food court has not changed, same selection of places to eat. Lots of available parking.
No major changes since last post except they have added self check out lanes en lieu of workers scanning your stuff for you. Unlike the Commissary, they still provide plastic bags...
Read moreUpdate 3/1/25. Still no relief in food court. In fact it’s hotter than last visit (summer is around the corner) and that’s with doors wide open and two industrial air blowers. Employees are miserable. Most patrons eating at outdoor tables in breezeway and staying away from the sauna.
This is an update to below after recent food court closure equipment updates. If this was supposed to include air conditioning, it didn’t work. Still uncomfortably warm. Spoke with an employee who complained about the sorry state of repairs and no relief from heat.
Update 2/1/25. AC still not fixed in food court. In fact today it seems they’ve got heaters on. Again, things are bad enough for patrons but the poor workers should not have to work in these conditions. Are base facilities exempt from OSHA oversight and regs?
Nice facility meeting basic needs. Friendly staff. My biggest issue is the food court which has become a miserable experience for customers because of the heat. The A/C is useless. I can’t imagine how terrible it must be for food court employees who must stay in that oven for an...
Read moreMy stomping grounds, things have changed since my last visit in 2012. The exchange portion of the property is still the same architecture, but reorganized for the better, the store looks way more organized, with you being able to see the whole store fron the entrance, womanly products on the center, with sporting goods, technology and other areas on the perimeter, with appliances and other bigger matters on the second floor. My friend says this exchange is so small compared to other exchanges (esspecially the Navy exchange next to the Moanalua shopping center) but I like the intimacy of the size, yet the versatility of what it offers. It serves the military patrons well in my opinion as a former dependent...
