Read moreThis beach is located on the West side of the island and gives you a nice view of the East side of the island. You can even watch the planes taking off and landing at Honolulu Airport. It was very windy when we went so that wasn't fun because you feel cold due to the wind. Also, the sand is very coarse and has sharp pebbles and branches so it's painful to walk on. I highly recommend wearing water shoes if you decide to visit here. And you need to have valid car registration to enter because it's located inside a gated community and they have security at the gate verifying you're not a homeless person trying...

If you are not a resident, you get pulled to the side and have to fill out paperwork. Not a big deal, but a small pain. Of note, the structures on the beach are strictly for residents only.
