🌊⚓️ **MILITARY VET TAKES THE PLUNGE: My Trident Scuba Adventure!** ⚓️🌊 🔥 **Background**: As a seasoned Army Special Ops Medic, I dove headfirst into Trident Adventure's waters, aiming to conquer the depths and emerge as a certified Dive Master. Zero dives to Advanced Open Water, here's the real scoop! 🎖️ **First Splash**: Anchored at Aloha Tower, my mission began with a mix of high hopes and choppy seas. The deck was set, but the compass spun with variable class times and a maze of parking. Ready to navigate the unpredictable? #DiveLife #MilitaryPrecision 📚 **Mission Briefing**: Charted course straight from PADI's playbook – a solo recon mission in self-study. My first dive? Like a night op without NVGs. Confusing? Yes. Thrilling? Absolutely. #NoGuideNoProblem #SelfTaught 👨‍🏫 **Crew Readiness**: Instructors with sea legs, but teaching like unpredictable currents. Needed to draw on my own tactical training to breach the surface. #AdaptAndOvercome #LearningOnTheFly 🧗‍♂️ **Hands-On Deck Drills**: Training hit like a squall - sudden and intense. Built my dive reflexes, but where was the slow and steady? #SinkOrSwim #InstinctOverInstruction 🛠️ **Gear Check and Conduct**: Top-notch kit with a crew that knew safety. But loose talk about shipmates? That's a no-go in my logbook. #SafetyFirst #TeamIntegrity 🚀 **Personal Ops**: I tackled uncharted territories, boosting my confidence to navigate undersea landscapes solo. Came out battle-hardened and dive-ready. #PersonalGrowth #UnderwaterWarrior 📢 **Calling All Recruits**: I salute vet-led operations, but this one? It's a mixed bag. My advice: scan the horizon for all available dive teams. I'm charting a course for new waters with a different crew. #VetBiz #ContinuingTheMission 🌟 **Overall Rating**: Middle of the buoyancy scale – 5/10. Trident Adventure, you've got the potential to rule the seven seas, but let's tighten up the ship, aye? #DiveWithHonor #AlwaysImproving 🧭 **Navigator's Tip**: For my fellow vets looking to take the dive through the GI Bill, there's a sea of options. Keep your periscope up for the best ops training command out there. I'm not done yet – the quest for the Dive Master badge is still on! 🏴‍☠️ #DiveMasterMission #SpecialOpsDiver #ScubaJourney #ReviewTheDive I'm leaving three (3) stars as JBPHH is sponsoring this program. It was not vet friendly or mental health friendly. Stressful and unpredictable. You can contact me if you would like specific information.

Only active duty allowed. Only 60 people allowed in at once. Must wear a mask the entire time. No floor exercises/stretches allowed ( eg. pushups or sit ups ) Super clean. Closed M-F from 0900-1000 and 1400-1500 for deep cleaning. Closed 1100-1200 on weekends. When you walk in you grab you own personal spray bottle of disinfectant so you can spray down everything after you use it. TOWELS ARE NOT PROVIDED ANYMORE, IF YOU WANT A TOWEL YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN. Also locker rooms are not available anymore either. Some racks are closed off for social distancing purposes. Only one person per cable machine as well.

This gym is better than MCBH by far. However, there's pro and con. Pros: there is a lot of equipment, It's big, I got lost. gym clean but have a weird smell to it and you can have a hat indoor. Cons: you can't have a bag on the floor, proper gym attire is a must, gym hours are not too convenient.

Honestly this could have been a really nice gym. When I was here in 2022 it seemed like it was doing well but since the it’s deteriorated rather quickly. The showers were never hot or even warm, all of them leak and/or make this horrible squealing noise. One shower I used last summer I went back to today and it was still the SAME as if no problems are being addressed. The equipment is squeaky and rusty which you could expect from an outdoor gym but it’s not. It even lacks in the basic stuff like having a iron in the locker rooms. It is a military gym after all, sometimes people need to iron their uniforms before work after having them in a duffle. All in all, with better management it could be a great gym!

Pros are that the bathrooms are relatively clean, the showers do have quite a bit of grout mold but the sinks and toilets are always...

This is an awesome gym! I love to attend the classes and since I've been stationed here 2 1/2 years I know what times to go when it's not packed so I never have a problem getting a good workout. If some people don't like how packed it gets, they are free to go to two other gyms on base, pay for an off base gym, or workout at home. Too many complaints in these reviews and ridiculous comments like: not being able to read because of music, the way people dress, and wishing there was a daycare? Some people are clearly idiots. Lol Just work out and go finish the rest of the day. Simple. Also, the staff is always nice and ready to help and there's more than enough equipment to work with considering it's all FREE. I'm more than grateful to have that just for serving my country! I love working out and once again the gym...
