Definitely check out Kaaawa Beach if you’re on the east coast. When we booked our one month stay in Kaaawa, we didn’t realize that the idyllic beach that we often saw on Oahu travel blogs is called Kaaawa Beach. it was just a 10 minute walk or a short bicycle ride from our accommodation. It can get busy on the weekend so our visits were done during the week and the beach was almost ours to explore. Kaaawa Beach is a narrow strip of natural sandy beach along Kamehameha Hwy. It is picturesque, peaceful, natural and clean. Great spot for sunrise, swimming, snorkelling, day beach, picnics, beach walking etc. There are parts of the water with rocks…mostly rounded rocks. Kaaawa Beach has bathrooms and an outdoor shower. Parking would be just along the highway. The view from this beach is absolutely stunning, like something out of a screensaver. The parking lot is very small so you’ll have to parallel off the main road and then the beach is 3 steps from there.
