A very nice and small beach directly across from the entrance to Kualoa Ranch. If you are visiting from Waikiki or elsewhere and don’t have time to venture to a beach for longer, this beach does provide nice water pictures for you.
There is very limited parking on the roadway, which is mostly used by locals either fishing or camping for the day.
The water is extremely clear, but it is a mix of rocky and sand, with the waves being held off by a good 1/8th of a mile; you get a nice subtle break at your feet.
Beach is a bit filled with trash, as the access is directly off of a road that is heavily trafficked, including a bus stop.
Would not recommend this as your “day beach” if on the East side, as there are loads to the north and south that would suffice far better. For what it is though, it is easily accessible, has pretty views of the surrounding hidden islands, and of course...
Read moreThis is just a small strip of sand less than 8 feet wide in some areas depending on the tides and time of day and yes... a lot of rocks hence the name! There is some street side parking along Kamehameha Highway next to the beach (not a parking lot) but you have to be careful because of the traffic which is across from the Kualoa Ranch. As for being quiet.. no... there are always cars and trucks zipping by... As for camping and shower facilities mentioned by others that would be down the road in the Kualoa Regional Park a half...

There is more wind and rain than most of the other beaches, but that is probably why it is less crowded too. There is a nice grass area you can walk, right next to the beach, that allows you to stay out of the sand while being able to enjoy the sight...
