Great trail that is relatively easy and not too muddy even when it recently rained/lightly drizzling. It is a dirt path but it's well compacted, trail is out and back and you can go for quite some long time. Had to turn back since I started the trail too late in the day to go too far but it wasn't super difficult. The views are not very good until you go off a slightly different path (which I ended up accidentally doing on the way back since I was following the main trail without any markings back to the trailhead). There you get a glimpse of the amazing mountain range on the opposite side of the valley. Be very careful and use a gps maps app like alltrails to ensure you don't get lost.

easy enjoyable trail, ends through the road with awesome authentic view of Hawaiian Mountains. it's mostly shady on the trail. just be careful for horse and bikes also using the trail. it's perfect for trail running if you want. enjoy and always respect Mother Nature. Aloha.

I took my family to this trail. Hubby was complaining because it was not challenging and my kids were complaining because it was too long. This trail is about 5 miles. I, myself enjoyed this long nature walk. Some parts are muddy. Use mosquitos repellent.

It’s an okay local trail, nothing spectacular. The last half-mile or so is a construction/logging site and annoying to walk with all of the tire tracks tearing up the mud the day after some heavy rain. But the first couple of miles are nice. One way it was about 50 minutes. You can shorted the walk by going one way on the road, that took about 15 minutes one way. There aren’t spectacular views, but it’s a nice walk through the woods. There was no one else in a Sunday afternoon except two people coming the opposite way...
