I set a tee time here last night for 8:20 a.m 4/18/23 for $90 for 18 holes plus one rider. My wife and I got there at 7:45 a.m. they then proceeded to tell me that my wife couldn’t wear the same dress she wore just 3 days earlier at the Maui, Kapalua Plantation course which is very high end and expensive. We even offered to have my wife wear a jacket and was told, “we don’t want others thinking this is acceptable” .They had only 2 men’s shirt options in the clubhouse which were terrible and the rest of the clubhouse was completely empty. Then, we picked out one of the shirts for $30 then she rang us up. The total was $220 which was way higher than I expected based off of website pricing with one golfer, one rider & one shirt. They then told me as of the first of the year they are charging full price for riders. This is the first course I have ever had tell me that. Completely shocked by the rude and truly unreasonable prices for the service being offered, we left. With a run down club house and rude staff, we are shocked they would not only charge full price for a rider but turn us away because my wife didn’t have a collar. I called Turtle Bay, set a tee time for 10:20 and paid $175 for one golfer and one rider. They greeted us with aloha spirit and were understanding of my wife not having a collard dress. Olomana clearly needed the money but shunned us away, I would give 0 stars if I could. I can’t imagine the course is in any good shape if they can’t simply update their systems to show that they are charging the full amount for a rider and by only having 2 items of clothing in...

Olomana has been a course where locals LOVED to play. Lots of birdieable holes with a couple of par 5s where eagles are possible. The course used to be packed on the weekends and if you were lucky enough to score a good tee time, you'd have to park in the auxiliary parking behind the cart barn. Prior to the infamous buyout to the now-defunct Pacific Links, Olomana had a few unfortunate incidents where some fairways got flooded due to improper flood control measures downstream. Corona and the bank's foreclosure after Pacific Link's exit didn't help either. Now, to make back the losses, Olomana needs to charge a greens fee that is far greater than the course is worth. Neglect and the lack of knowledgeable greens keepers has the putting surface on some holes looking like it has different species of weed growing. Some greens look like patches of sod was replaced, leaving areas looking like a botched skin graft. I see signs of improvement in the form of new golf carts, but more emphasis should be put into the fairways and greens.

Yesterday, we booked the first twilight at $47 and while the course was absolutely empty in front of us, there were hoards of golfers behind us. $47 seems to be the magic number for this course. Ditch the weekend twilight and make it $47 all day, and I will bet this course will come back to it's glory days. It certainly is not worth the $67 they're charging now.
