We happened to stop at one of the beach areas here while just driving around and "WOW!"...a really beautiful place. MUCH less crowded than the one at Waikiki and offers a different a experience altogether. Tranquility, peacefulness and just calm beauty. It was our last day here for this visit and we were just taking a drive around the island...I wish I would found this while side of the island earlier and spent more time here. I guess this gives us something to come back to do. It's just laid back, and it seems to have fewer tourists (of which I'm one). If you don't know how to pull off and on to a busy highway, just move it along to the next area instead of putting people in danger!
This is definitely a local favorite spot to fish, picnic, and hang out on the weekends, so let them have it.
Go find another place down the road or back in Waikiki 🤣🤙🏽
Also, locals are trying to reverse shoreline erosion by planting native and indigenous plants. So if you do end up going. Leave the plants alone!
