Sharkey Theater — Attraction in Oʻahu

Sharkey theater is a pretty good movie theater to visit while in pearl harbor, it's nothing like the movie theaters out in town, the screen is considerably smaller and there seems to be a odd seat to screen size ratio with the large number of seats in the theater but that tends to be the case with older movie theaters... The snack bar only had a small candy selection and the portion sizes were very small for the price... not your average movie theater candy size... Popcorn was pretty good and the screening was pretty cheap and some of the showings are also free from time to time depending on what movies they have on...

So I would rather give this theater 3 1/2 stars solely based on the fact that I would be comparing it to Hickam Theater and I just happen to like that one a little better (popcorn tastes better, a little bigger concession although this one has chili dogs but I dont eat that). Otherwise a 4 star theater because, let's face it, better prices that outside movie theaters, not bad seating, and good movie selections. And you can't beat the sneak preview days. Oh, parking could be better so if it's a hit movie, be early. Otherwise, really worth a movie night with/without...

They do not follow regulations and procedures for advance screening we were in line at 6:06pm at 6:42pm the manager said at 6:42pm you lose your ticket at 6:30pm.Not to mention the security on side door which should have been closed.If you were waiting in line in the rain would you leave. A sailor in uniform ran from work to be rejected. AS a wounded warrior veteran it would have been nice to have a duty station to follow regulations and procedures on...
