Turtle Bay Pillbox — Attraction in Oʻahu

An awesome little "hike" from the Landfarm fruit stand brings you past a beautiful local beach and horse trail to the Turtle Bay pillbox.

There's not much going on here and if you're not specifically looking for it, it's very easy to miss as the main trail seems to not bring you directly to it. There's some amazing views of the pacific here, just make sure you have good footing if you want to go out on the lava rocks because it's pretty jagged and there's some crevices...

Located perhaps a quarter mile or more off the main road. I accessed this from the turtle Bay resort where I was staying. If you're not staying there I'm not sure how you would get here. It's just a basic structure but probably the best part is right next to it when the tide is down a little there are formations in the lava that went away hits the shore it creates a blowhole just like a whale. Very casual walk along the beach and wooded area. The pillbox itself is a cool artifact but nothing worth stopping specifically for. However, combined with beach and shaded walk makes for a nice leisurely walk and worth at...
