We added the Sentinel Dome trail to form a loop. We started from the parking lot at Glacier point. You can also do it from the Taft point trail head or Sentinel Dome trail head. The reason we pick Glacier point is that we want to shoot the famous S shape road with Half Dome in the background. Now, the best way to do that is to walk there because there is no way you can park on the road as before. The Taft point is famous for its steep cliff. The whole route is a bit strenuous because its total ascending and descending amount. But it's all worth it.

Nice hike all the way up to inspiration point, we did it in approximately 1 hour, down a little bit faster. The views a long the hike are stunning. Really a must do if you want to leave the crowds behind
